Origin: Mexico
Description:A fast growing fan palm. Trunk is thinner and taller , and crown is smaller and more compact than Washingtonia filifera. Leaf stalks are shorter,grooved on their upper surface and with distinguishing reddish streaks on undersides. The leaves are richer green , more deeply cleft into their segments which tends to make them droop at the margins
Size: 25m high, 5-6m spread
Landscape Uses: As an avenue tree, canopy and shad tree.
Cultivation:Propagated by fresh seeds. Grows well in sandy soils. Requires full sun and water in the early stages . Rhinoceros beetle, coconut mealy bug, palm leaf skeletonizer,and a variety of scales infest this palm. Leaves are damaged at-5 degree Centigrade but the plant recovers quickly.

Wind Tolerance: High
Drought Tolerance: High

Thank you guys, I have this tree in my garden. I discovered it few years ago & I donno where it came from. It just appeared by itself! Where could it come from?
